Ogio Mammoth Travel Bag Review

April 27th, 2008 · No Comments

In preparation for my first golf trip to the Southwest (Las Vegas, NV and Scottsdale, AZ) in June, I needed to purchase a golf travel bag. After looking at my local Golf Galaxy, Golf Smith, and online, I finally decided on the Ogio Mammoth Travel bag.

Some of the key selling points of the bag are the following:

  • Removable Shoe Bag
  • Internal Crush Proof Hat Compartment
  • Ability to push the bag easily while standing upright (thanks to four caster wheels on the bottom of the bag) , as well as pull on angle
  • Wide opening, making it very easy to load and unload your golf bag
  • Two Internal Cinch Down Straps to secure your golf bag
  • Multiple Grab Handles, making it very easy to lift, even when loaded
  • Padded top section to protect your clubs (I’d still wrap the club heads with towels)
  • SLED (Structural Load Equalizing Deck) for added back support when the bag is lying down
  • Tons of internal storage (great for packing your clothes), even after your clubs are loaded
  • Folds down to a compact size when not in use

I highly recommend this golf travel bag, you’ve invested a lot of money in your golf clubs, you should make the same investment in a great golf travel bag too. I’ll be posting a follow up to this post next month after my trip to let you know how the Ogio Mammoth Travel Bag holds up.

The Ogio Mammoth Travel Bag retails for $249 US
