Putter Towel Review

We’ve all been there before, playing an early morning round of golf, where the fairways and greens are still wet from the morning dew. You just hit a great second shot and your ball lands 10 yards from the green. You get out of the golf cart and grab your putter and wedge, but your stuck with having to lay down your putter on the wet grass. So what is a gofer to do in these situations? You can do one of several things, either leave your putter in your bag and grab it after you chip your shot onto the green or get the Putter Towel from Devant LTD.

What’s so special about a Putter Towel?
The Putter Towel looks like your average golf towel, with the exception that it clips onto the shaft of your putter or wedge. The Putter Towel solves a couple of problems, one of those is putting your putter down on wet turf, where the grip can get all wet. And the other problem it solves is cleaning the grass clippings or dirt off your golf ball or club. This saves you a lot of time from running back and forth to the cart and slowing down the pace of play, because the minute you grab your putter, you have a golf towel with you.  The Putter Towel clip will work with standard size shafts which represents over 97% (estimated) putters and irons. It’s not recommended you try this on graphite or oversized shafts. Attaching the Putter Towel couldn’t be any easier, all you do place the edge of the clip on the shaft push towards the shaft until the entire clip is attached. To remove the Putter Towel, just simply pull away the clip from the shaft. It’s that easy. When the towel is attached, it just hangs from your putter and looks like any other golf towel. The Putter Towel (11″ x 16″) is made from a heavy weight velour terry, featuring two ply yarns and double shearing offering the richest velour in the market.

My only complaint is that my golf bag began to look like I had an obsession for golf towels, because I already carry two towels to begin with. Adding the third towel pushed it over the top. This isn’t a poor reflection on the Putter Towel, more of a realization that I should probably stow one of my other towels.  Overall, I found having the Putter Towel to be very useful in help keeping my grips dry and cleaning my golf balls. I think every golfer should have a Putter Towel, you’ll find it to be extremely practical and a time saver. It also makes a great stocking stuffer.

The Putter Towel retails for $19.99 and is available in multiple colors

The putter towel does seem like a good idea on a wet morning as you describe. I was a little confused by the photos, however. I guess the towel just has a clip that clips onto the putter or wedge shaft, and the point is that you don’t forget to bring the towel when the grass is all wet.

Anyway, thanks for pointing this out as well as the other items you mention. I didn’t know about the putting towel. It would make a good stocking stuffer.
