Bridgestone Golf Ball Fitting Experience

Have you ever wondered if your playing the right golf ball for your golf swing? The fine folks at Bridgestone Golf were on hand at the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida providing this great free service to anyone willing to get up on the main stage to get fit for a Bridgestone Golf ball.  I always wanted to get fit for golf ball and this was a great opportunity to go through this under 5 minute process, to find out which of Bridgestone’s golf balls I should be using.

This is how it works: You begin by telling the Bridgestone what golf ball you play, in my case the Pro V1. You then are given the golf ball you currently play and proceed to hit the ball 4 to 5 times in the Bridgestone practice area. In the area there are launch monitors which track all the information about your ball flight (spin, trajectory, ball speed, launch angle, etc). This data is recorded by the computers and analyzed over the course of your swings. Then the Bridgestone system will recommend a Bridgestone Golf ball that best suits your swing. In my case it was the Bridgestone e6+ golf ball. You hit the recommended the Bridgestone golf ball 4 to 5 times and the data is crunched and analyzed by their computers. The results are then reported back to you explaining how the recommended ball has improved your swing. In my case, I was able to increase the amount of ball speed with out increasing the my swing speed and reduce the amount of spin I imparted on the golf ball. I couldn’t believe the results. The Bridgestone Golf Ball Fitting Experience is something everyone should try, you can’t be the price, free.

Well, I am also interested to know what kind of golf ball will suit my swing. I live in California. I hope, it visits my place soon.
