Your at the tee box with your brand new 460cc driver, ready to bomb your drive down the middle of the fairway. You hit your drive and it goes no where near as far as you liked or worse you top the ball. Now, your left wondering what did you did wrong? You might want to check how high or low you tee’d your golf ball.

How are you supposed to know what the optimal tee height is for your driver?

The answer to this problem can be found in Evolve Golf’s new line of Vireo S3 Golf Tees. The Vireo S3 is constructed completely from environmentally-friendly materials, featuring a wider, deeper cup for greater stability than traditional wood tees. The side of the Vireo S3 features four gray dots that assist you with determining how many dots on the tee should be above the ground for the optimal tee height. This is the first Evolve Golf tee to incorporate the company’s groundbreaking marking system and coinciding proprietary Internet application – The Sweet Spot System — showing the proper tee height for consistent alignment between the golf ball and driver’s “sweet spot”.

In order to use the Sweet Spot System- which promotes increased distance and accuracy, you enter the make and model of your drive on the Evolve Golf website and it recommends the number of dots that should be above the ground. If you don’t want to use the Evolve Golf Sweet Spot application, you can just follow the these guidelines for teeing up the golf ball correctly. For 460 CC drivers, like the Nike SQ Dymo STR8-Fit driver, you can have three or two gray dots above the ground. For smaller drivers < 460 CC, like the TaylorMade Golf R9 Driver (422cc), have one or no gray dot above the ground. It’s that simple!

This simple visual reference is great tool for consistently teeing up the golf to take advantage of your drivers sweet spot every time. I found that by using the general guidelines of three – two dots above the ground, I knew I would hit the sweet spot of my driver every time, assuming my swing was mechanically sound.

In terms of durability, I found the Evolve Golf Vireo S3 tees to be very durable and would require a lot of force to break. And even if they do break, Vireo S3 tees are made from environmentally friendly materials and biodegradable.

Can I say with certainty that it helped increase my driving distance and accuracy? My answer would have to be maybe, because there are plenty of other factors that have to be taken into consideration. Overall, I think the Sweet Spot System of the Vireo S3 Tees are a simple fix to helping you make sure that your golf ball is teed up properly to take advantage of your drivers sweet spot.
