Lemont, IL-Tiger Woods and Mark Wilson are co-leaders at the BMW Championship with posting scores of 67 and 66 respectively after two rounds of golf at Cog Hill. Both Woods and Wilson feel right at home playing at Cog Hill, with Tiger Woods winning 4-times at Cog Hill and Mark Wilson who practices here all the time.

Things didn’t start so well for Woods today when he opened with a bogey on 1 by hitting a hook with his 3-wood into a deep bunker. “I hit a terrible tee shot there at 1, mis-hit a quick hook there with a 3-wood off the tee,” according to Tiger Woods. Throughout the first six holes of play Tiger never had an easy birdie putt and several times had to escape bunkers to avoid bogey. Tiger started to turn things around when drained 12-foot birdie putt from the fringe on the 7th hole. After that the momentum started to flow in Woods favor and he slowly chipped away at Rory Sabbatini’s lead of 8-under.

Tiger Woods is 32 of 39 when leading the second round for a tournament, 8-9 in Majors. The old Tiger Woods that we have come to expect is back on track.

Steve Stricker did struggle today with putting within 10 feet, missing a lot of putts that he normally makes. This is not the Steve Stricker that we’ve seen over the last two FedExCup playoffs. Stricker finished with 3-over for the day with a 73.

The Luck of the Irish

Padraig Harrington had probably the most interesting two rounds of golf this tournament, by posting two scores of 68. Padraig over the past two rounds has not had the easiest time posting these low scores. Several times he would have to make some incredibly hard up and down shots, and hitting a  lot of provisionals. One of those provisionals was on the 18th hole where Padraig was in great position to join the leaders with the share of the lead, when his tee shot on 18 flew wide right and into a tree, sending Padraig back to the tee. Harrington was able to save par by draining a 20-foot putt to post a 68 for the day.

Rory Sabbatini, Padraig Harrington, and Bo Van Pelt are T3 at 6-under.
