The Ping Man Mail Bag with John K. Solheim

I recently came across this great video featuring John K. Solheim VP of Engineering at Ping Golf, called the PING MAN Mailbag.

The premise of the video is PING MAN (robotic testing machine) and John K. Solheim answer golfers emails, tweets and letters. In this episode Henry from Minnesota asks about PINGs rigorous club testing.

You can find other great episodes on club fitting, tools, how Ping innovates, and many more!

It’s a good thing machines test new golf clubs thoroughly before we put them to the test on tour! It saves quite a bit of time I’m sure.

My dad was an avide golfer. He purchased a set of ping irons in the 1970′s. When he died I got the clubs and I want to display them. I would like to know their worth so I can place them on my homeowners policy. Would you know how I can find out what they are worth?

Bob,
I would start by looking at the PGA Value Guide http://valueguide.pga.com/detail-exec/brand/2736/b/Ping to get an idea for what they might sell for in the market place. I’d also look on ebay to see what they are for. Hopefully this will give you enough information to determine the value. Good Luck!
Rob
