Steve Stricker won the 2010 John Deere Classic tournament for the second straight year, picking up his ninth career PGA Tour victory and second of the season. Stricker shot 26 under-par (258) for the tournament, edging out Paul Goydos by two strokes. On Saturday, Stricker broke the 54-hole scoring record on the PGA Tour at 25-under 188.
“It was a great week. You know, a lot of cool things happened here at this tournament, not only for me, but Paul Goydos shooting 59 and fourth man in history. I think that’s — we were talking about it today. He’ll always be in that group of people, or group of guys, or girls. Anna did it that, too.
But hat’s off to him, you know. There’s a lot of cool things that happened this week, and feel fortunate enough to be sitting right here, I’ll tell you that. It was a tough day today, and glad it worked out.”
