The Nike Broken Stripe sweater is the must have addition to any golfer's wardrobe in cool climates.

If you live an area with Spring temperatures that fluctuate up and down, you either wear a jacket or a sweater. A jacket is great on blustery cool days, but can get to restrictive or hot. Instead, I prefer to layer a golf shirt under a sweater for warmth and comfort without feeling restricted. Yes you could go with a solid color v-neck sweater, but that’s a bit boring and playing it safe, instead go for something bold. Enter, the Nike Broken Stripe golf sweater.

The Nike Golf Broken Stripe sweater is made from a wool blend (50% Wool/50% Acrylic) that has a very soft hand and feels like a quality merino wool, and provides exceptional warmth. The slim silhouette of the Broken Stripe sweater is not too snug, and fits comfortably over a golf shirt without adding bulk or restricting movement. What I love about the sweater are its bold contrasting stripes that run across the chest complimented by the contrast red half-zip placket. The raglan sleeves provide comfort and allow you to swing the club without compromising range of motion in your golf swing. The Broken Stripe sweater is also not very bulky, its a lot thinner than I’d expect, but its not a bad thing, since it does a great job of keeping you warm, without overheating.

The design details of the Nike Broken Stripe are what you’d expect, with rib crew neck, cuffs and hem, which provide a nice comfortable, snug fit. The left sleeve features the Nike “Swoosh” logo embroidered in Bleached Heather above the left sleeve cuff. I wore the Nike Broken Stripe sweater when I played The Old Course at St. Andrews and not only did it keep me warm, it did not stretch out in the cuffs or sleeves, which is amazing. What’s also nice is that the sweater is machine washable, which is a bonus.

There is only one flaw with Nike Borken Stripe sweater and that is its price tag of $130, which some might find to be a little pricey. I’m a believer in you get what you pay for and the Nike Broken Stripe sweater is worth the investment if you need a golf sweater that not only performs well, but also looks sharp on and off the golf course. If you’re looking for a golf sweater that is St. Andrews worthy and holds ups round after round, you need to buy the Nike Broken Stripe sweater.
