Available on January 1, 2012, The Nike Lunar Ascend is engineered with the ingredients of the perfect lightweight and breathable golf shoe that combines stability and the comfort of Lunar cushioning. Hyperfuse Construction
An upper construction technique that originated in Nike Basketball, Hyperfuse construction is an innovative multi-layered construction that ensures lightweight support, comfort, breathability and durability. Hyperfuse is an engineered composite of three different materials: an internal synthetic underlay for structure and support, a performance mesh layer for breathability and a thin TPU durable outer layer for additional protection and support. The base stability layer and the breathable layer are fused together with the thin TPU skin layer for a no-sew construction. Hyperfuse construction allows the Nike Lunar Ascend to achieve structure and stability while maintaining lightweight breathability. This Nike innovative technology results in a serious performance golf shoe.

Lunarlon and Integrated Traction
The Nike Lunar Ascend utilizes the Tour-proven Lunarlon foam cushioning paired with an Integrated Traction performance outsole. Integrated Traction is a molded TPU outsole that enhances traction and ground feel while reducing the overall weight of the shoe. The lower profile of the Nike Lunar Ascend increases stability while utilizing Integrated Traction to eliminate spike pressure and maintain traction. The Integrated Traction outsole allows more flexibility and greater natural motion for the foot.

Developed in Nike’s Innovation Kitchen, Lunarlon cushioning system is another proprietary technology from Nike that offers underfoot comfort, ground feel and stability. Back in August of 2011, Nike Golf announced the upcoming release of the new Nike Dunk NG , which is a crossover golf shoe based on the Nike Dunk basketball shoe. Nike athlete Tiger Woods is back in the winners’ circle with a win at the Chevron World Challenge that came in a stunning dramatic “Tiger-like” fashion.

With two holes left to play in the final round, Woods needed a critical birdie putt on the 17th to tie and another one on the 18th to win. He accomplished both by making the 15-foot birdie putt on 17 and a 10-footer to seal his victory on 18, using his Nike Method 001 putter. This marks his first win with the Nike Method putter and the 36th Method victory for Nike Golf on the worldwide professional tours.

Martin Kaymer birdied nine out of his last 12 holes to close with a 63 and win the WGC-HSBC Golf Champions event. Kaymer, who began the final round five strokes behind the leader, finished the tournament 20-under-par-268, three shots clear of the runner-up finisher.

The 2010 PGA Championship winner averaged 287 yards off the tee with his R11 driver, which gave him numerous short-iron shots into the greens at Sheshan International Golf Course, in Shanghai. With the win, Kaymer moves to No. 4 in Official World Golf Rankings and moves into second place on The Race to Dubai.

Justin Rose shook off inclement weather and numerous charging competitors Sunday at Cog Hill to win the BMW Championship. Debuting a new adidas Golf shoe and gaming the R11 driver and Corza Ghost putter, Rose missed only two putts inside of 10 feet throughout the week to win the FedEx Cup’s third playoff event. Thomas Bjorn, wore ECCO World Class GTX golf shoes, enroute to earning his second victory with an amazing final-round that included nine birdies and an eagle. The win — his third on the European Tour this season and the 13th of his career — comes on the heels of his victory at last week’s Johnnie Walker Championship.

With hurricane Irene bearing down on the Northeast U.S., TaylorMade-adidas Tour Staff professional Dustin Johnson notched his second-career FedExCup Playoffs victory at The Barclay’s on Saturday, charging home with a brilliant final-round 65 to win by two shots. Johnson, playing the R11 driver and wearing new TOUR360 ATV footwear from adidas Golf, was well-equipped to battle the field, and the soggy conditions at Plainfield Country Club.

Weather forecasts calling for hurricane conditions shortened The Barclay’s to 54 holes, but take little meaning away from Johnson’s monumental victory, his fifth career PGA Tour win and first in 2011.

With the win, Johnson moves to No. 4 in Official World Golf Rankings and heads to TPC Boston for the Deustche Bank Championship as the leader in the FedExCup points race.
