Callaway RAZR FIT Lightning Review
I played 9 holes with Callaway RAZR FIT driver and I was really impressed with how easy it is to hit. The Variable Face Technology and Hyperbolic face give the RAZR FIT a large sweet spot that’s easy to hit. The RAZR FIT produces a nice medium-high trajectory on your drives, that explode off the face.

The Forged Composite crown helps reduce weight and create an optimal center of gravity, which makes for a high MOI driver that is very forgiving. Even on shots not hit squarely on the face, like the toe of the driver, my drives resulted in more of a fade, than a slice.

In terms of adjustability, you can set the face square/neutral, open, or closed. So your options are limited in terms of adjusting the face, but I prefer a simple setup like this, because you don’t have to mess around with so many settings. This in my opinion is where Callaway got it right. Changing the face is a snap, with the torque wrench that’s included. The RAZR FIT comes with a stock ALDILA RIP’D NV 458 CC 45.5″ shaft, that has a D5 swing weight, and Golf Pride, New Decade grip.

If your looking to purchase an adjustable face driver, you really should consider the Callaway RAZR FIT. It’s simple setup and forgiving face make it a great driver for all types of golfers.

The term “boutique” is normally associated with being exclusive,  quality craftsmanship, and being expensive. C. Carnahan Golf is a 3 year old golf company out of Portland,Oregon, which specializes in making tour quality wedges and putters, that are only available in local pro shops, but with out the elite price tag. The vision for the boutique line of wedges and putters was a long time in the making, for Chris Carnahan, a former PGA and Canadian Tour player.

We caught up with Chris Carnahan at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show and had him walk us through his line of Insignia Putters and Vintage Forged Wedges. The C.Carnahan Golf Story
While designing game improving clubs for Pinemeadow, Chris became intrigued by the materials, specifications and look of tour ready equipment, and soon after the vision of a boutique brand developed. It would use the highest quality forged steel that would be affordable for all golfers at the retail level so consumers could enjoy the feeling of a Tour Approved product.

Carnahan Golf was created in 2008, with the release of the Insignia putter line. His first venture was re-designing his four favorite putters used during his playing career. Alterations were made for the everyday golfer who aspired to improve their game. Extra weight was added to help let the putter swing back and fourth easier, top lines were adjusted and CNC milled faces were added to each putter.

Chris was captivated by the visual design process of the Insignia collection and was compelled to create another line outside of putters. The wedge market was a natural transition, and a forged wedge that had a vintage flair with modern sole grindings was his next project. The Vintage wedge was designed and released to the market in the summer of 2009.
