How Mi adidas Program Works

Like mentioned above you get to customize the look of mi POWERBAND 3.0 shoes. You begin by selecting either a blank shoe or one of three adidas inspired color combinations.

Step 1)From there you select your shoe size and width and the fun really begins. Start by customizing the side base color in either black or white. Next you can select the side overaly from one of nine colors. You then can select the one of the nine colors for the adidas stripes and stripes outline.

Step 2) Select the color of the shoe laces and the lining.

Step 3) Select the color for the midsole, chassis, outsole, and spikes.

Step 4) You have the option of selecting a logo or flag placed on the heel of the shoe and you can personalize the shoe with embroidery.

When your done with those four steps, you can save and purchase your mi adidas POWERBAND 3.0 golf shoes.

Spring is coming upon us and with that comes the start of the golf season. One of the biggest problem a golfer faces during the first couple months of the season, is dealing with the mother nature and the elements. One minute it’s  sunny and warm, and two holes later the wind picks up and becomes extremely windy and cool. The problem I’m often faced with is finding the right balance of warmth and protection without getting too sweaty . Luckily for us Adidas Golf has the answer to this problem, with the Adidas Golf ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible Jacket.

Look and Feel

The ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Covertible jacket is an extremely versatile and can be quickly transformed from a long sleeve to short sleeve and to a vest, all in the matter of minutes. This is possible because of the way the jacket is constructed using advanced structural design and modern four-way stretch inserts.  Another related feature includes the use of a thin-yet-warm removable 360° compression wrap inner layer that also delivers increased support and precludes the need for a liner, eliminating bulk.  

The silicone shoulder grippers prevent your bag strap from slipping, even in the rain. A nice little touch in my opinion. If the weather gets really bad, the Adidas Golf  ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible jacket has a flip-up storm flap located in the inner collar that flips up for added protection. The mesh vents located in the lower back of the jacket can be unzipped to allow warm air to escape and keep your body temperature regulated. Round this out with adjustable velcro cuffs and you have quite remarkable golf jacket.

Performance

Does the Adidas Golf ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible jacket warrant the $275 price tag? The answer to this question is, yes!
Converting from long-sleeve to short-sleeve, and from short-sleeve to vest and vice-versa, is easy and quick. To go from long sleeve to short sleeve jacket, you just unzip the sleeves right above the elbow. Still too hot, and want to go from short sleeve to a vest, just unzip the zippers along armpit area and unsnap the collar around the your neck. Pretty simple. The only problem you might run into is putting on the correct sleeve when converting the jacket back to a long sleeve. The sleeves are not labeled right or left arm, so you have to remember which sleeve goes on the left and right arms. No big deal, if you use the adjustable cuff as a reference point.

One thing you’ll notice about the ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible jacket immediately when you put it on is how form fitting and quite the material is. The jacket moves with you during your swing and you don’t have to worry about getting your hands caught during your putting stroke, backswing, or downswing because of the compression fabric. The nice thing about the compression fabric, is that it keeps you warm without the bulk of extra fabric and it can be removed. One thing I did notice is the compression fabric does cause the jacket to pucker at your midsection/stomach area. I’m pretty sure this is because Adidas Golf did not want the extra fabric hanging down and getting in the way of your swing.

In the comfort department, the jacket can keep you warm and dry without ever feeling too hot or cold. Several of the features of the Adidas Golf ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible jacket that help with keeping your body temperature regulated. The mesh vents are a great feature, that help you let the warm air out of the jacket by letting the warm air escape the rear of the jacket. I don’t know how many times, I’ve been golfing on the rainy muggy day or playing on a sunny cool day, where you get too hot and clammy from wearing a jacket. With the ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible, just unzip the vents and you’re good to go.

The other pet peeve of mine about golf jackets is the seams can rub, chafe, and irritate your skin, especially when your wearing a short sleeve shirt underneath the jacket. This isn’t problem, because of the bonded panel construction that eliminates those seams. In terms of waterproofness, the ClimaProof Storm performs as expected, with the water beading and rolling off the fabric. As mentioned before the compression fabric, helps provide support, but also keeps you warm. I wore the jacket on a 50 degree overcast and windy day, with only a short sleeve polo underneath and I felt comfortable the entire round. I never felt a chill the entire time.

Overall, I was quite impressed by the Adidas Golf ClimaProof Storm 3-Way Convertible jacket and liked how easily you can customize the jacket to suit your needs and the weather.

During my visit to the Adidas booth at the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show, I talked with VP Marketing/Communication of tmax gear Gregg Hemphill about two of the latest offerings from Adidas. Adidas Prevail Cart Bag

This is probably one of the toughest and lightweight cart bags on the market. Adidas really cranked up the volume in terms of quality and durability in making this awesome lightweight cart bag (4.8lbs). The frame on Prevail Cart bag is so strong that you can jump on it and it won’t break, it just springs back into shape. What I also liked is that in both the Prevail and University bags, is that they lowered the pockets near the top of the bag. This is important, because you no longer have to worry about the cart strap getting in the way of accessing the pockets. I can’t tell you how many times I have run into this problem.

As the seasons change in the Midwest from Summer to Fall, I like to change up my golf shoes to a darker color to match the change and temperature and playing conditions.  Living in Chicago, this means cooler temperatures and wet course conditions. This season I opted to go from my summer white  golf shoes, to the new Black and Metallic Silver Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf shoe.

Look and Feel
The Black and Metallic Silver Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf shoe are the same ones that Sergio Garcia wears and have a nice sporty look and feel for a golf shoe. The shoe is constructed from a nice quality Full-grain leather upper that is combined with TPU to provide style and durability. The first thing you’ll notice is the 360WRAP technology which is the 3D molded upper parts that deliver a level of up stability, fit, and feel. The minute you put these shoes on I noticed how comfortable the shoes felt on my feet. The comfort of the Adidas Tour 360 3.0 has to do with the use of the 3D FitFoam sock liner, that is used for support, comfort, and customized fit. This is very important and nice feature to have in golf shoe, especially if you walk a lot of golf courses. The split outsole is made from a clog-resistant TPU and features a 10-cleat TRAXION configuration for a secure grip and stability. In my tests on a freshly mowed golf course, the outsoles never got clogged. And no matter how much grass and debris got caught in the cleats, I never felt like my feet were not stable or losing traction during my golf swing. The Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf shoes come with a 2-year waterproof warranty, so you can rest assure that your feet will stay dry while you play. Even though the Tour 360 3.0 golf shoes are a little heavier than my Puma Swing GTX golf shoe, they do breathe well, and keep your feet dry, even in warm conditions.

The Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf shoe also features THiNTech low-profile technology, bringing you closer to the course and promoting consistently solid ball striking through added stability and improved footwork. When wearing the Adidas Tour 360 3.0 golf shoes, I noticed immediately how the shoes would grip the turf and practice mats at both the driving range on the course. The added stability is welcome, especially when playing in all types of course conditions. The last thing you want is for your foot slip during your backswing in muddy conditions or in a bunker. The superior traction is attributed to the 10-cleat configuration on the full footbed Powerband Chassis. The shoes deliver on getting you feet as close to the course as possible and provide superior grip and support. You may not be able to play like Sergio Garcia, but at least you can wear the same shoe that he does.
